I once was alone in the house cooking dinner when someone knocked my door.
Standing outside was a white lady I wasn't sure I had met before.
"Is this the home of the African couple who are Christians?" She asked.
"Yes, please." I answered.
I could see she was deeply troubled.
"I just need someone to pray with me. I've had a bad day." She said.
"Please come in." I widened the door and invited her in.
We sat in the kitchen and talked.
And then we prayed.
Long story short, the Holy Spirit took over the meeting and words of prophecy were uttered.
Me, I was just shocked.
When she left, I sat still and thought about my life.
What if Royal Husbandness and I had been notorious in our neighbourhood for shouting and quarrelling:
"You must kee me today! Papa Chinedu today na today! Na me and you!" 😂😂
Or for having the police and social workers visit us from time to time?
Or for not evangelising?
Is this how this wonderful lady would have carried this heavy weight on her heart because there was no one to represent Jesus on our street?
Tufiakwa.
So, you kwanu that are reading this post, let me talk to you in the way my Mummy does.
If you like, don't let your light shine.
When they bring expo during exams, join them.
Cheat!
When they go on insulting sprees on social media, follow them enter bus.
Shade and sub the much you can!
When they ask for bribes in your office, give!
Follow them and sign 8:00am when you know you arrived at 9:47.
When they enjoy the corrupt, satanic music, follow them!
Nod your head!
Dance ooo!
When it's time to tell lies, haba, what are you waiting for?
Tell them and troway face!
Nothing mega.
But, don't you just come out and claim Christian.
Don't do it.
Have the decency to admit that you are a tare among the wheat.
Better still, you have the option to take out that candle from under the bushel, clean it up in repentance to God and place it on the candlestick of your Facebook wall, your Twitter account, your Instagram page, your office, your neighbourhood.
This world is hurting!
We who have the light should let it shine!
This light must shine, biko!
The devil is a liar.
Tenkiu.
